April 1, 2000 Shelron Internet Launches Ibetcha.com
Shelron Internet, Israel's leading creator of e-commerce web sites, has today launched its latest creation: Ibetcha.com. An Israeli start up, ibetcha.com, is a gaming and entertainment web site where users can bet on anything they want, from sports results, events, and tomorrow's weather, or they can create their own customized events and bets.
Ibetcha.com founders Omer Shvili and Tal Cohen approached Shelron with the initial idea ten months ago. "I knew Shelron would have no problem with the very complicated technology and functionality my site required. It was just a matter of time to market, and they delivered", says Shvili.
Shelron Internet CEO, Eliron Yaron, is very proud of the new start-up. "Ibetcha was a great challenge for us. It was a large-scale project which had to be delivered in a short time. I see a great future for online betting sites, and Ibetcha specifically. I admire the idea behind the site", says Yaron.
Shelron Internet Chief Technology Officer, Guy Ron, is pleased with a job well done. "We had to start from scratch with issues such as 'what is an event?', 'what is a bet?', and 'how do we find out the winners?'. Then We had to develop a system that will receive near-real-time scores and results from various data providers to make the site the 1st real C2C betting platform in the net. We also developed using Shelron SMG™ a unique site administration tool that allow ibetcha.com's large operation team to manage the all the processes and content of the site."
